Final Alignment

The procedures and tole rance requirements f or fin al alignment are the same as those de-

scribed in the Near Fi nal Alignment sec t ion. Final alignment is per f ormed just prior to grou ti ng

and machine hot check. A ll piping, including wat er and steam, must be com pleted, but the water

and refrigerant charges need n ot be in plac e.

Hot Alignment Check

General

When all machine componen ts have reached opera ting temperature (af te r ru nni ng near full

load for from 4 to 8 hours), a hot alignment check must be made. Hot alignment check may be

made with couplings ass em b led or disassembled.
