Connectors	• The DB-9 serial port, the CD-ROM and floppy
(front)	drives are located on the unit’s faceplate.
	• The DB-9 serial port can support a login session
	for Command Line Interface (CLI) management.

Connectors	• The TLAN network interface (P2) connects the
(rear)	unit to a TLAN network interface on a Layer 2
	Switch.
	• The ELAN network interface (P1) connects the
	unit to an ELAN network interface on a Layer 2
	Switch.
	• The DB-9 serial port can support a login session
	for Command Line Interface (CLI) management.
	• There are three ports not used for any CS 1000E
	system function. Do not plug any device into these
	ports.

Do not connect maintenance terminals or modems to the faceplate and I/O panel DB-9 male serial maintenance port at the same time.
