Problems with NEC EXPRESSBUILDER
When the server is not booted from the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM, check the following:
TDid you set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart the server?
If you do not set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart the
server, an error message will appear or the OS will boot.
TIs BIOS configuration correct?
The boot device order may be specified with the BIOS setup utility of the server.
Use the BIOS setup utility to change the boot device order to boot the system from
the CD-ROM drive first.

TIs an error message appeared?
When an error occurs while the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is in progress, the
following message appears.
After this message appears, check the error and take the appropriate corrective
action according to the message listed in the table below.
Message Cause and Remedy
This machine is not supported. This NEC EXPRESSBUILDER version is
not designed for this server. Execute the
NEC EXPRESSBUILDER on the compliant
server.
NvRAM access error. An access to the nonvolatile memory
(NvRAM) is not acceptable.
Hard disk access error. The hard disk is not connected or it is failed.
Check whether the hard disk is correctly
connected.
The system-specific information
does not exist on the baseboard.
Please restore the backup data or
write the data by using [System
Information Management] of the
Off-line Maintenance Utility.
Only the authorized personnel are
allowed to do this operation.
The system-specific information cannot be
acquired in the baseboard exchange and so
on.
