GENERAL CONCEPTS

Turning the CNC on and off

The central unit PC104 is powered by an external 24Vdc power supply. Optionally, an external battery may be connected to ensure the detection of power supply voltage drops and that the unit is turned off properly.

When a power supply failure occurs (24V voltage drop) and there is a battery connected to the central unit, the latter responds as follows:

If the supply is interrupted for less than 2 seconds.

The screens shows the corresponding warning and the system recovers fine. CAN errors may occur due to the lack of 24V at the remote modules.

If the supply is interrupted for more than 2 seconds.

After the 2 seconds, the screen shows the corresponding error and it initiates the automatic turn-off sequence. First, it stops the machine if it is in execution. It closes the CNC8070 application, then the whole system and finally turns the battery off.
