Chapter 36 Configuring Inverse Muliplexing over ATM

How to Configure ATM Class of Service

Command

Purpose

Step 3

interface ATMslot/IMAgroup-number

Configures an ATM interface and enters the interface configuration

mode.

Example:

Router(config)# interface ATM1/IMA0

Step 4

pvc VPI/VCI l2transport

layer 2 transport mode.

Example:

l2transport is an optional field.

Router(config-if)# 100/12 l2transport

Step 5

cbr rate

Configures the constant bit rate (CBR) QoS class for an ATM

permanent virtual circuit () and specifies the bandwidth.

Example:

rate—Peak cell rate in Kbps.

Router(config-if-atm-vc)# cbr 16000

Configuring Unspecified Bit Rate

Complete the following steps to configure Unspecified Bit Rate (UBR) QoS class for an ATM permanent virtual circuit () and to specify the bandwidth on the Cisco ASR 901 series router.
