Chapter 10 Configuring Ethernet OAM

			Command	Purpose
		Step 7	service instance id ethernet [ser-	Creates a service instance (an instantiation of an EVC)
			vice-name]	on an interface and sets the device into the config-if-srv
				submode.
			Example:
			Router(config-if-srv)# service in-
			stance 101 ethernet
		Step 8	encapsulation untagged dot1q vlan-id	Configures the encapsulation. Defines the matching
			default	criteria that maps the ingress dot1q or untagged frames
				on an interface for the appropriate service instance.
			Example:	Effective with Cisco IOS Release 15.3(2)S, default
				encapsulation is supported.
			Router(config-if-srv)# encapsulation
			dot1q 100
				Note	dot1q range and second-dot1q are not supported
					for EFP Interface with Cross Connect.
		Step 9	xconnect peer-ip-address vc-id {encap-	Binds an attachment circuit to a pseudowire, and

		Step 11	exit	Exits the interface configuration mode.
			Example:
			Router(config-if-srv)# exit

			This example shows how to configure CFM over EVC using cross connect.
