Configuring Network Clock for Cisco ASR 901 Router

 

DETAILED STEPS

Step 1

enable

Enables privileged EXEC mode.

 

 

 

Enter your password if prompted.

configure terminal

Enters global configuration mode.

Step 3

network-clock synchronization mode

Configures the automatic selection process QL-enabled

 

 

ql-enabled

mode.

 

 

Example:

QL is disabled by default.

 

 

ql-enabledmode can be used only when the

 

 

Router(config)# network-clock

 

 

synchronization interface is capable to send SSM.

 

 

synchronization mode ql-enabled

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4

esmc process

Enables the ESMC process.

 

 

 

Note ESMC can be enabled globally or at the sync-E

Step 5

network-clock quality-level {tx

Forces the QL value for line or external timing output.
