Configuring Network Clock in Global Configuration Mode

Complete the following steps to configure the network clock in global configuration mode:

Step 2	configure terminal	Enters global configuration mode.
	Example:
	Router# configure terminal
Step 3	network-clock synchronization	Enables G.781-based automatic clock selection process.
	automatic	G.781 is the ITU-T Recommendation that specifies the
		synchronization layer functions.
	Example:
	Router(config)# network-clock
	synchronization automatic
Step 4	network-clock eec {1 2}	Configures the clocking system hardware with the desired
		parameters. These are the options:
	Example:	• For option 1, the default value is EEC-Option 1 (2048).
	Router(config)# network-clock eec 1	• For option 2, the default value is EEC-Option 2 (1544).
