Chapter 21 Configuring Pseudowire

Configuring Pseudowire

Command

Purpose

Step 14

xconnect peer-router-id vcid

Binds an attachment circuit to the CEM interface to create a pseudowire.

{pseudowire-class name}

This example creates a pseudowire by binding the CEM circuit 5 to the

remote peer 30.30.30.2.

Example:

Note When creating IP routes for a pseudowire configuration, we

Router(config-if-cem)# xconnect

recommend that you build a route from the cross-connect address

30.30.30.2 305 pw-class udpClass

(LDP router-ID or loopback address) to the next hop IP address,

such as ip route 30.30.30.2 255.255.255.255 1.2.3.4.

Step 15

udp port local <local-udp-port>

Specifies a local and remote UDP port for the connection. Valid port

remote <remote-udp-port>

values for SAToP pseudowires using UDP are from 49152–57343.

Example:

Router(config-if-cem-xconn)# udp

port local 49150 remote 55000

Step 16

exit

Exits the CEM interface.

Example:

Router(config-if-cem-xconn)# exit

Step 17

exit

Exits the configuration mode.

Example:

Router(config-if)# exit
