Connect the Ethernet
1. Connect the network cable to the ETHERNET connector on the TN802B
external cable assembl y.
NOTE:
You need a CAT5 or better cable for 100-Mbyte operation.
Install the Circuit Packs
!CAUTION:

When adding or replac ing any hardware, be sure to ground yourself against

electrostatic disc harge (ESD) by wearing a ground ed wrist strap.

NOTE:
The TN799B and TN802B circuit packs are hot-swap pable, so you d o not
need to power down the c arrier to install them.
If you need to remove the TN802B IP Interface from the carrier at a lat er
time, shut down Windows NT first by pressing the rec essed reset button on
the faceplate (see Figure 6-22) of the TN802B IP Interface until the LCD
shows a flashing MSHUT *. When the flashing stops and the asterisk
disappears (ab out 2 min), it is safe to remove the circuit p ack.
