■Bit Rate — Displays when the DS1 Converter circuit p ack is TN1654.

Enter either 1.544 for domestic T1 operation or 2.048 for inter national E1

operation.

NOTE:

Since one bit rate applies fo r all facilities within the same DS1

Converter complex, Bit Rate disp lays only under Facility A. To

activate the desired Bit Rate, the tog gle switch on the circ uit pack

must be set and it must corresp ond to the Bit Rate.

■Idle Code MSB(1) ... LSB(8) — Displays when the DS1 Converter circ uit

pack is TN1654. Enter 8 digits, each d igit must be 0 or 1. The second digit

must be 1. Default is 11101000. You can administer this field on a per

circuit pack basis.
