Access Security Gateway

This appendix provid es information on how to administer Ac cess Security
Gateway (ASG). ASG employs a challenge/resp onse protocol to confirm th e
validity of a user and reduc e the opportunity for una uthorized access. ASG
authenication will be imp osed for Lucent services log ins as indicated below:
■init - all types of acc ess require ASG authenication
■inads - all types of access require ASG authenication
■craft - if accessing remotely, ASG authenication is required.
NOTE:
Craft login sessions from a direct connect management term inal continue
to rely on password authenication.
