!CAUTION:
Do not plug the 120A into any c ircuit pack other than a TN474F or TN777E
or later release/vintage. Do not connec t the 120A to any interface other than
a network smart jack.
Be sure the DS1 circuit pack is set for 24-channel operation (1.544 Mb ps).
The 120A does not operate with the 32-chan nel interface. A switch on the
circuit pack or administration sets this option.
!CAUTION:
Always wear an anti-static wrist strap when installing a 120A module. Do
not touch the external alarm ca ble when it is connected to the 120A. Static
discharge c an damage connec tor terminals and relays.
1. Unplug the DS1 circuit p ack from its slot.
2. Install a 4C retainer in the 50-pin plug assoc iated with the DS1 circuit pac k
slot.
3. Plug the 120A’s 25-pair connector d irectly into the plug assoc iated with
the DS1 circuit pack slot.
1. Rear of carrier containing DS1 circuit pac k
2. 120A CSU
3. 4-pair cord to network interface (H600-383 )
4. DW8A-DE 4-pair cord to alarm contacts (optional)
5. To 25-pair connector on rear of carrier containing
DS1 circuit pack
