Screen 6-1. Fiber Link Administration form
Basic Fiber Link Administration.
The following fields appear:
■Fiber Link # — Display-only field. From the command line, enter a 1- to
3-digit number to uniq uely identify a switch con nection in the system and
its duplicate if ap propriate.
■Board Location — Enter the cabinet, c arrier, and slot that identifies the
physical location of an SNI or EI board that is the first endpoint of the fiber
link.
■Board Type — Display-only field showing th e type of circuit pac k in
Endpoint-1.
■Board Location — Enter the cabinet, c arrier, and slot that identifies the
physical location of an SNI or EI board that is the second endpo int of the
fiber link.
■Board Type — Display-only field showing th e type of circuit pac k in
Endpoint-2.
■Is one endpoint remoted via a DS1 Converter Complex? — Enter y to
specify that a DS1 Converter comp lex is used to remote one endp oint. If a
y is entered, A-PNC DS1 Converter circuit pac k Location must be
administered on Page 1. A-PNC DS1 Converter circuit p ack Type displays.
A-PNC DS1 Converter (DS1CONV) Attributes must be administered on
Page 2 of this form.
