Chapter 2 - Defining Standard Audio Only Conferences and Reservations

When an IVR Service is assigned to the conference, participants are guided to the conference by voice prompts to use DTMF codes and are requested to enter the required (conference/chairperson) password. They can also be prompted for additional information such as their billing code.

IVR Access

The IVR Service and the Entry Queue Access can be used for Attended and Unattended conferences. The conference password is used to provide security for the conference.

In all Audio and Video conferences, the IVR Service must be assigned to the conference to enable DTMF code input by the participant and chairperson.

In IVR-enabled conferences, the caller enters the conference IVR queue as part of the connection process. Participants connect to the conference IVR queue by dialing the conference dial-in numbers. Using the telephone keypad, participants input the required information to menu driven scripts and voice prompts that are part of the IVR Service. Once the correct information is entered, the participants are connected to the conference.
