MEDIA CHANGER COMMANDS

M2488 PRODUCT GUIDE

An XX → YY bit value of one indicates that the Medium Changer supports MOVE MEDIUM com- mands where the source element is type XX and the destination element is type YY. The following sources and destinations are supported:

ST → DT	Select cartridge from magazine and load cartridge into tape unit.
ST → IE	Unload magazine.
ST → ST	Move cartridge in magazine to empty slot in magazine.
IE → ST	Load magazine.
DT → IE	Unload cartridge from tape unit and place it into magazine, then unload.
DT → ST	Unload cartridge from tape unit and place it into magazine.
