ATM Virtual Interface Con®guration Concepts

Note: Because all resources are shared among the ARI and all its AVIs, an ESI added on an ARI is automatically available to all AVIs con®gured on the ARI. You should not assign the same ESI and selector combination to two different protocol clients using the same ARI even though they are con®gured on different AVIs.

Limited PVC sharing is allowed across the ARI and the AVIs con®gured on the ARI. PVC sharing is limited to different protocol instances. Multiple instances of the same protocol are not allowed to share the same PVC.
