Quick Con®guration Tips

Making Selections

On the panels that you view when using the Quick Con®guration program, the information shown in brackets, [ ], is the default. For example:

Configure Bridging? (Yes, No, Quit): [Yes]

vTo use the default Yes, press Enter.

vTo use a value other than the default, such as No or Quit, choose from the values in the parentheses.

vIf no value appears in the brackets, there is no default and you must type a value.

Integrated Modems

Integrated modems are automatically con®gured.

Exiting and Restarting

vTo restart the current Quick Con®guration section at any time, typer. For example, if you are in the Interface Con®guration section, typer and press Enter to return to the beginning of that section.

vTo exit Quick Con®guration, typeq and press Enter. The Config> prompt will appear.

vTo restart Quick Con®guration from theConfig> prompt, type qc and press Enter.

When You're Done

vOnce you have completed your con®guration, you must restart the IBM 2210 for the con®guration to take effect. At the end of the Quick Con®guration program, you are given this option.

Starting the Quick Con®guration Program

The following sections describe sample con®gurations using the Quick Con®guration program (qcon®g).

To start the quick con®guration program, enterqc at the Config> prompt.

The program displays the following panel after starting.
