Chapter 46. Con®guring and Monitoring the ISDN Interface

Notes:
1.	ISDN interfaces have both ELS messages and cause codes that you can use to
	monitor ISDN-related activity. See Event Logging System Messages Guide
2.	The ISDN, Q931, CEME, LAPD, and DIAL ELS subsystems are available.

ISDN Con®guration Commands

Table 80 describes the ISDN con®guration commands, and the following sections explain the commands. Enter these commands at the ISDN Config> prompt.

Table 80. ISDN Con®guration Command Summary

Command	Function
? (Help)	Displays all the commands available for this command level or lists the
	options for speci®c commands (if available). See ªGetting Helpº on page 10.
Block-calls	Blocks incoming calls from a speci®c caller.
Disable	Valid only for BRI. Disables Power Source 1 detection.
Enable	Valid only for BRI. Enables Power Source 1 detection.
List	Displays the ISDN con®guration.
Remove	Removes DN0 entries from the ISDN con®guration.
Set	Sets the frame size, local address, no-answer timeouts, number of retries
	after no answer, type of ISDN switch, directory numbers, SPIDS, TEI and
	bandwidth.
Cause Code	Stops further processing attempts to establish a connection through an
	interface.
Exit	Returns you to the previous command level. See ªExiting a Lower Level
	Environmentº on page 11.

Block-Calls

Use the block-callscommands to block incoming calls. Caller numbers to be
blocked must be added to the authentication list. The maximum number of caller
blocked calls is 16 per interface.
Call block can be used for:
v An unsolicited call being constantly received.
v Network bringup/test where you need to ignore certain calls.
Syntax:
block-calls	add
	list
