BOOTP Using a Console Terminal

BOOTP tries to boot over all of the installed interfaces using all possible hardware con®gurations starting with the card that passes its self-test ®rst. This generally occurs in the order Ethernet, and then token ring. For additional information about BOOTP, refer to Chapter 7. The Boot CONFIG Process.

A BOOTP boot is successful when the console displays the following information:
