+COPS, Operator Selection

This command enables accessories to access the network registration information, and the selection and registration of the GSM network operator. The G24-L is registered in the Home network.

The Enhanced Operator Name String (EONS) feature enables the G24-L to return the operator name displayed on the handset. This feature allows the SIM card to store a mapping of MCC/MNC code pairs to the displayed operator name. As a result, several operators can share a single network while having their handsets display their own name as the network operator.

Testing the enhanced ONS feature requires a "SIM ONS" SIM card.
