CLARIFICATION OF SYMBOLS

MICROWAVE POWER

Your microwave oven has 800 W (100 P) and 5
power levels. You should follow the instructions in
this cookbook while selecting the microwave
power. The following recommendations generally
apply:
100 % power = 100 P (800 watts)
is used for fast cooking or heating e.g. for
meals on a plate, hot drinks, vegetables, fish,
etc.
70 % power = 70 P (560 watts)
Reduce the microwave power for longer
cooking of compact foods such as roasts or
delicate foods, e.g. cheese sauces. When the
power is low the food does not overcook and
the meat cooks evenly without overcooking at
the sides.
50 % power = 50 P (400 watts)
It is advisable to reduce the power and to
prolong the cooking time for compact foods
which require a long cooking time in
conventional cooking, e.g. beef dishes.
The meat will be more tender.
30 % power = 30 P (240 watts)
Select a low power level for defrosting. This
ensures that the food will defrost evenly. This
level is also ideal for simmering rice, noodles
and dumplings.
10 % power = 10 P (80 watts)
You should select the lowest power level for
delicate defrosting, e.g. for cream tarts.

USING THE GRILL FUNCTIONS

Clarification of symbol
Top grill
Versatile use for gratinating and grilling
meat, poultry and fish.
Bottom grill
This operating mode can be used to
brown food from below.
Top and bottom grilling
Simultaneous use of top and bottom grill.
This combination is particularly suited for
e.g. gratinated toast, quiches and
meatballs.
Combined use 1: microwave and
top grill
Combined use 2: microwave and
bottom grill
The different microwave power levels can
be combined with the top grill or bottom
grill in dual mode.
