Connecting a Second Printer via Serial
After connecting a printer to the 5250 OPTIMA via SERIAL I/O PORT 1, a second printer may be connected via SERIAL I/O PORT 0.

To connect the OPTIMA to the printer:
1.Insert the printer end of the serial printer cable into the connector on the rear of the printer.
2.Tighten the thumbscrews until the connection is firm, but do not overtighten.
