To remove the upper paper guide roller:
1Open the top cover.
2Remove the two springs at each end of the roller. To do this, press down gently on the end of the spring and move it out from under the plastic.
3Raise the upper paper guide.
4Remove the roller and bearings from the underside of the upper paper guide.
