Main Motor Removal

8Remove the right side cover. (See page 7-9.)

9Remove the counter. (See page 7-20.)

10Remove the main drive cover (one screw).

11Remove the fuser drive cover (three screws).

12Remove the gear stay cover.

13Remove the gear stay (three screws).

14Remove the disk drive housing. (See page 7-25.)

15Remove the printhead. (See page 7-23.)

16Remove the DC power supply. (See page 7-31.)

17Remove the main motor gear and bearing (two C-clips).

18Disconnect CN95.

19From the right side, remove the two screws holding the main motor in place.

20From the back, remove the three screws holding the main motor in place.

21Remove the main motor through the side of the printer.

Replacement Notes:

Remove the drive shaft key from the old motor. Replacement motors are not supplied with a key.

Be sure to tuck the CN95 connector under the motor after installation so that the wires do not protrude into the disk drive assembly area.
