Use Procedure 22 to connect an SDI port directly (no switch box) to a modem (see Figure 72 on page 183).

Connecting a modem to an SDI port

1At the remote end, connect an RS-232 cable to the terminal and to the modem.

2At the remote end, connect the cable from the modem to an RJ11 telephone jack. If a cable is required, connect an NT8D46 cable to the modem and to the RJ11 jack.
