E1 Interface Cabling
Figure 5-14 shows typical E1 cabling to the network interfac e via the coaxial
adapter cab le. The actual adapter may be d ifferent in appearance.

1. Connect a coaxial ad apter cab le to the remaining end of the “Y” c able.
The opposite end of this cab l e is wired to a c oaxial adapter assemb ly.
2. Plug a c ustomer-provided q uad cab le onto the 4 BNC c o nnectors
provided on t he coaxial adap ter.
3. Connec t the opp osite end of the q uad cab le to the network interface.
