Connect the 1151A or 1151A2 Power Supplies

The 1151A is a standard (no battery backup) power supply unit. The 1151A2 is a battery backup version of the 1151A. Either power supply can support 1 telephone with or without an adjunct. The maximum loop range is 250 feet (76 meters). Two modular jacks are used. Power is provided on the PHONE jack, pins 7 and 8 (- and +, respectively).

The PHONE and LINE jacks are 8-pin female non-keyed 657-type jacks that can accept D4, D6, and D8 modular plug cables. Figure 5-22 shows an 1151A Power Supply. The 1151A2 looks similar.
