Chapter 2 Avaya P330-ML Layer 2 CLI Commands

This command is can not be executed for P332G-ML and P332GT-ML ports and P334T-ML ports 51, 52 (Gigabit SFP ports). An error message is generated if you attempt to perform the set port speed command for these ports that can only work at 1000Mbps speed.

Copper ports in the P332GT-ML can work at 1000Mbps (Full Duplex) only if autonegotiation is enabled on both cable ends and you are using a 4 pair (8- wire) Ethernet cable. If autonegotiation is disabled, these ports can work only at 100 Mbps (Full Duplex), and autonegotiation must be disabled on both cable ends.

The syntax for this command is:

set port speed <mod_num>/<port_num> <10MB100MB1GB>

mod_num	Number of the switch.
port_num	Number of the port on the switch.
	You can also specify a range of ports separated by a dash, for
	example, 4/5-13 for ports 5 to 13 on module 4.

Example:

To configure port 1 on module 4 to 100 Mbps

P330-N#set port speed 4/1 100MB

Port 4/1 speed set to 100 Mbps.

set port static-vlan

User level: privileged, supervisor.

Use the set port static-vlancommand to assign static VLANs to ports.

The syntax for this command is:

set port static-vlan [module/port range] [vlan num]

module/port	Port range
range
vlan num	vlan to bind to port
