Router SRRP Context

You can only access these commands in the “Router-SRRP” context. Type router srrp at the command prompt to enter the “Router -SRRP” context if necessary.

poll-interval

User level: user, privileged, supervisor

Use the poll-intervalcommand to configure the polling interval in seconds used by SRRP.

Use the no poll-intervalcommand to return to the default polling interval of 1 second.

The syntax for this command is:Syntax

[no] poll-interval <poll interval>

poll interval

Poll interval (integer value, in seconds)

Example:

Router-N#poll-interval 4

timeout

User level: user, privileged, supervisor

Use the timeout command to configure the timeout (in seconds) after which SRRP declares the main router dead if it does not reply to polling.

Use the no timeout form command to return the timeout to default timeout interval of 12 seconds.

The syntax for this command is:

[no] timeout <timeout>

timeout

An integer (in seconds)

Example:

Router-N# timeout 6

The timeout should be at least twice as long as the interval.
