Chapter 2 Avaya P330-ML Layer 2 CLI Commands

The syntax for this command is:

set port spantree force-protocol-migration <module/port>

module/ Port identifier port

Example:

P330-N>set port spantree force-protocol-migration 1/1

port 1/1 is forced to send a Rapid spanning tree BPDU

set port spantree priority

User level: privileged, supervisor.

Use the set port spantree command to set the Spanning Tree priority level of a port. This value defines the priority of a port to be blocked in case two ports with the same costs cause a loop.

The syntax for this command is:

set port spantree priority [module/port] [value]

module/port

Module number/port number.

value

Number representing the priority of the bridge. The

 

priority level is from 0 to 240, with 0 indicating high

 

priority and 240 indicating low priority. Value should be

 

in steps of 16; default value is 128.

Example:

 

P330-N#set port spantree priority 3/4 128

port 3/4 spantree priority is 128

Priority value 0 will set the port to Root port.

set port speed

User level: privileged, supervisor.

Use the set port speed command to configure the speed of a port or range of 10/100BASE-T ports.

In auto-negotiation mode, the port's speed is determined by auto negotiation. An error message is generated if you attempt to set the speed when auto negotiation is enabled
