Description

 

 

Up Arrow

Use the up arrow key to re-display a previously entered command. Select the

 

up arrow repeatedly, to scroll through all the commands entered starting with

 

the most recent.

 

 

Will move curser one character to the left or right.

Left and Right Arrow

 

 

 

?

The question mark will display help for the current command.

 

 

[Tab]

Select the Tab key after entering a partial (but unique) portion of the CLI

 

command. This will result in the completion of a portion of the command

 

and will wait for further input.

 

Example:

 

(config)#sn [Tab]

 

(config)#snmp-server

 

 

auto complete

You need only enter enough letters to identify a command as unique. For

 

example, entering cont t1 1 at the Global configuration prompt provides you

 

access to the configuration parameters for the specified T1 interface.

 

Entering controller t1 1 would work as well, but is not necessary.

 

 

Backspace

Erases the character to the left.

 

 

History

The history shows up to a total of 100 commands. The history command will

 

show only the executed commands for the current mode/context.

 

 

[Ctrl+A]

Moves the curser to the beginning of the command line.

 

 

[Ctrl+E]

Moves the curser to the end of the command line.

 

 

[Ctrl+U]

Clears the current displayed command line.

 

 

[Ctrl+Z]

Exits from the current mode.
