ip ospf authentication-key

Use the L2TPC ip ospf authentication-keycommand to assign a password to be used by neighboring routers, that are using OSPF’s simple password authentication.To remove a previously assigned password, see no ip ospf authentication-keycommand on page 15-14.

Syntax: (config-l2tpc-{n})# ip ospf authentication-key password

Enter a password, with up to 8 characters.

ip ospf cost

Use the L2TPC ip ospf cost command to define the cost of sending a packet on this serial interface. To reset the path cost to the default setting of 0, see no ip ospf cost command on page 15-14.

Syntax: (config-l2tpc-{n})# ip ospf cost cost

Range is 1-65535, with a default of 0.

Example: (config-l2tpc-1)# ip ospf cost 5

ip ospf dead-interval

Use the L2TPC ip ospf dead-intervalcommand to define the interval of time that no hello packets have been seen before neighbors declare the router down. To reset the interval of time to the default setting of 40 seconds, see no ip ospf dead-intervalcommand on page 15-15.

Syntax: (config-l2tpc-{n})# ip ospf dead-interval seconds

Range is 1-65535 seconds, with a default of 40.

 

Note: This value must be the same for all nodes on the network.

 

 

Example: (config-l2tpc-1)# ip ospf dead-interval 50
