Configuration - Serial Interface Mode

no ip address

Use the Serial Interface no ip address command to remove the IP address assigned to the serial interface. To set the Serial IP address, see ip address command on page 13-6.

Syntax: (config-int-ser-{n})# no ip address address

Example: (config-int-ser-1)# no ip address 192.168.1.100

no ip default-route

Use the Serial Interface no ip default-routecommand to disable the default route. To set the default IP address, see ip default-routecommand on page 13-6.

Syntax: (config-int-ser-{n})# no ip default-route

Example: (config-int-ser-1)# no ip default-route

no ip ospf authentication

Use the Serial Interface no ip ospf authentication command to disable the authentication method for this serial interface. To enable the authentication type for this interface see ip ospf authentication command on page 13-7.

Syntax: (config-int-ser-{n})# no ip ospf authentication

Example: (config-int-ser-{n})# no ip ospf authentication

no ip ospf authentication-key

Use the Serial Interface no ip ospf authentication-keycommand to remove a password to be used by neighboring routers, that are using OSPF’s simple password authentication. To assign a password, see ip ospf authentication-keycommand on page 13-8.

Syntax: (config-int-ser-{n})# no ip ospf authentication
