Configuring Tape Device Extension

If this is the first time you are adding an Edge node to the Network Map, the Default Fibre Channel Interface Type drop-down list will appear. Select the type of Fibre Channel interface for the network type you are configuring.

The first time you see the Default Fibre Channel Interface Type drop-down list, select the interface type you want as the Fibre Channel I/F default. This sets the type of Fibre Channel interface as the default UltraNet ConfigManager will use in each configuration, unless you change it. When configuring Device Extension over an Ethernet WAN, select Fibre Channel Device Extension.

If you have previously added an Edge node and need to change the default Fibre Channel interface type, click the Tools menu, then Options and select the appropriate interface type from drop-down list.

4.Move the cursor to another part of the map and click a second time to create a second instance of the same type of node. Your screen should look like the example below.
