Graceful Shutdown

To preserve the system integrity, you will need to perform a graceful shutdown of the UltraNet Edge 3000 prior to powering down the system.

Use the following procedure to perform the graceful shutdown:

1.At the prompt, enter the shutdown command.

tm.0x10> shutdown

2.The following text will appear on the screen, enter yes to continue.

Are you sure you want to shutdown the UltraNet Edge? <yes/no> yes

Shutting down disk drive C: Drive C: is closed.

It is now safe to power off the UltraNet Edge **

3.Power off the UltraNet Edge 3000 by turning off both power supplies.

When powering the unit up, it will automatically reboot into nucleus.
