Installing a Brocade MLXe-32 router 2

Because you will need to use a mechanical lift to move and install the device, make sure you allow enough space to operate the lift. You will also need at least two people to slide the router off the lift and into the rack.

Once you have completed the preliminary installation preparations (refer to “Preliminary rack mount installation steps” on page 112), follow these steps to mount your 32-slot router in a 4-post rack or open cabinet.

1.Remove the factory-installed mounting brackets from the router chassis.

2.Attach the front right and left mounting brackets to the chassis using 12 8-32 Phillips flat head screws (provided). Refer to Figure 84.
