ip ospf hello-interval

The ip ospf hello-intervalcommand sets the number of seconds between hello packets send by a router on the interface. The no ip ospf hello-intervalcommand resets the number of seconds between hello packets sent by a router on an interface to the default value.

Use the ip ospf hello-intervalcommand as a form of keepalive used by routers in order to acknowledge their existence on a segment.
