duplex

The duplex command configures an Ethernet interface for duplex mode (full or half) and enables/disables auto-negotiation

Command Line Usage

duplex {half full auto} no duplex {half full auto}

Command Syntax

half

configures the interface for half-duplex

 

operation. Half-duplex operation allows the

 

interface to send and receive signals, but not

 

at the same time.

full

configures the interface for full-duplex

 

operation. Full-duplex operation allows the

 

interface to send and receive signals at the

 

same time.

auto

configures the interface to auto negotiate its

 

operational mode (either full-duplex or

 

half-duplex) with the device to which it is

 

physically connected.
