cable insert-interval

The cable insert-intervalcommand sets the interval at which Initial Maintenance intervals are scheduled in the upstream.These intervals are used by cable modems to send ranging request messages when attempting to join the network. The no cable insert-intervalcommand is used to set the default insertion interval.

Note: Ensure that the upstream port is down before setting the insertion interval.

Command Syntax

0-200

The insert interval in hundredths of a second.

Command Default

The default insertion interval is 20 hundredths of a second.
