preamble-length

The preamble-lengthcommand is used to specify the preamble length in bits. The preamble length is used to define a synchronizing string of modulation symbols that is used to allow the receiver to find the phase and timing of the transmitted burst.

Command Syntax

0-1536

the preamble length in bits - 0 indicates no

 

preamble:

 

0-1536is used for DOCSIS 2.0 bursts

 

0-1024is used for DOCSIS 1.x bursts
