CMTS Commands

scrambler-seed

The scramber-seedcommand specifies a scrambler seed value as a hexidecimal number. The scrambler seed is the initial value that is used to start the scrambler’s pseudo-randomizer to scramble the bits. As the transmitter and receiver know the scrambler seed value, scrambling can be reversed at the receiver leaving only the original data.
