Defining IPv6 Interfaces

The system supports IPv6 hosts. The IPv6 Interface page contains fields for defining IPv6 interfaces. To open the IPv6 Interface page, click SystemIP AddressingIPv6 Interface in the tree view.

Interface — The IPv6 interface that has been selected for configuration.

Remove — When selected, removes the IPv6 attributes of the interface.

DAD Attempts — Defines the number of consecutive neighbor solicitation messages that are sent on an interface while Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) is performed on unicast IPv6 addresses on this interface. New addresses remain in a tentative state while duplicate address detection is performed.

A field value of 0, disables duplicate address detection processing on the specified interface. A field value of 1, indicates a single transmission without follow up transmissions. Range is 0-600, default is 1.
