16.Absolute Amplitude Calibration and Resolution (IF) Bandwidth Switching Uncertainties,HP 8590
Absolute Amplitude Uncertainty
1.Connect the CAL OUT to the EMC analyzer input using the BNC cable and adapter, as shown in Figure
2.Press 4PRESET5 on the EMC analyzer, then wait for the preset routine to nish. Set the EMC analyzer controls by pressing the following keys:
4SPAN5 10 4MHz5
4MKR !5 MARKER ! HIGH
4MKR5 More 1 of 3 MK TRACK ON OFF (ON)
4FREQUENCY5 300 4MHz5
4SPAN5 50 4kHz5
4BW5 3 4kHz5
AVG BW AUTO MAN (MAN) 300 4Hz5
4AMPLITUDE5 87 4+dBV5
SCALE LOG LIN (LIN)
(For HP 8594EM, HP 8595EM, and HP 8596EM only)
More 1 of 3 More 2 of 3 COUPLE AC DC (DC)
3.Press 4MKR !5, MARKER ! HIGH , then record the marker reading in TR Entry 1 of the performance verication test record.
The marker reading should be within 86.85 and 87.15 dBV.
Resolution (IF) Bandwidth Switching Uncertainty
