6. Noise Sidebands, HP 8590
This performance verication test must be performed with the EMC analyzer set in the spectrum analyzer mode.
A 500 MHz CW signal is applied to the input of the EMC analyzer. The marker functions are used to measure the amplitude of the carrier and the noise level 10 kHz, 20 kHz, and 30 kHz above and below the carrier. The dierence between these two measurements is compared to specication after the result is normalized to 1 Hz.
