The following are examples of regular expressions for string-based Registry Key values:

^Nortel .*Networks — matches anything that starts with Nortel and ends with Networks

\w* — matches TunnelGuard_2; does not match TunnelGuard_2.0.0 (word definition includes_but not “.”)

[a-z] {2}_[\.\d]+ — matching tg_2.0.0; does not match Tg_2.0.0; does not match tg_; does not match tg_two; does not match tug_2.0.0

Creating a registry entry

To create a registry entry:

1Click the Software Definition tab in the TunnelGuard Software and Rule Definition Tool page.

2Click the Software Definition Entry menu and select Add Registry Key Entry. The Registry Entry page opens (see Figure 91 on page 342).
