The Date and Time menu includes the following options:

/cfg/sys/time followed by:

date <date>

Sets the system date.

 

date is the date in YYYY-MM-DD format.

 

 

time <time>

Sets the system time.

 

time is the time in HH:MM:SS format, using a

 

24-hour clock.

 

 

tzone

Specifies the time zone. You are prompted to enter a

 

continent or ocean area, a country, and a region (if

 

applicable). To view available input options, press

 

Enter to accept the default (select) in order to

 

display selection menus for each item.

 

 

ntp

Accesses the NTP Servers menu, in order to manage

 

NTP servers used by the cluster (see “Managing NTP

 

servers” on page 476).

 

 

Managing NTP servers

You can add NTP servers to the system configuration to enable the NTP client on the Nortel SNAS 4050 to synchronize its clock. To compensate for discrepancies, it is recommended that NTP have access to at least three NTP servers.

To manage NTP servers used by the system, use the following command:

/cfg/sys/time/ntp

The NTP Servers menu displays.
