Chapter 10 Configuring system settings 467

/cfg/sys/host <host ID>

followed by:

port

Accesses the Host Port menu, in order to configure

port properties (see “Configuring host ports using the

CLI” on page 472).

ports

Lists the physical ports on the device, by port number.

Ports that can exist on the same network (for failover or

trunking) are listed together, separated by a comma (,).

A port that cannot exist on the same network as other

listed ports appears after a colon (:). For example:

Ports = 1,2:3

hwplatform

Displays the hardware platform of the Nortel

SNAS 4050 device.

halt

Stops Nortel SNAS 4050 processing. Always use this

command before turning off the device.

If the Nortel SNAS 4050 you want to halt has become

isolated from the cluster, you will receive an error

message when executing the halt command. In this

case, log on to the Nortel SNAS 4050 using a console

connection or remotely by connecting to the Nortel

SNAS 4050 RIP (host address). Then use the

/boot/halt command (see page 733).
