Opening Greeting

The opening greeting is the system greeting for outside callers. Like other parts of the system conversation, the opening greeting has phrases and prompts. Here is a sample opening greeting:

“Hello, EliteMail Messaging System. If you are calling from a touchtone telephone, you may enter the extension anytime. If you don’t know the extension, press 411 for a directory. Otherwise, please stay on the line and an operator will be right with you.”
