4. Press to select the Add option. A NEW NAME pop-up is
displayed (Figure 2-5 Adding Phone Book Entries).
5. Enter a name for the host computer and press .
(Usually, this is the name of the company tha t pur chase d the
voice mail system.) The Phone Book Entry Scre en is
displayed.
6. Enter the telephone numb er to dial to reach the host
computer. If needed, change the login n ame and password
to match the login name and password set on the host
computer. Keep these guidelines in mind:
•Telephone Numbers. The Phone Book entry PHONE
field stores the telephone number to dial for a pa rticular
host computer modem. Enter up to 35 characters. You
can use all the special chara cters accepted by Haye s-
compatible modems. Hyphen s are ignored during dialin g.
The chart in Figure 2-6 Sample Phone Num ber Format
summarizes the format used.
•Login Name and Password. Because the host Remote
Maintenance is set up to use a par ticu lar login na me a nd
password, leave these entries at the defaults, unless you
have changed them on a partic ular host co mputer. The
login name and password are c ase-sensitive and must
exactly match those on the host computer.
7. Press to save the entry.
